Fall Flats

About 3-4 years ago, I had a really great selection of shoes and haven’t purchased many since then. After literally wearing holes through the soles of several pairs of shoes and a few seasons of new trends, I realized it was time to update my footwear again. I replaced several pairs of sandals this summer and now that closed-toed shoes are becoming a necessity, I’m excited to get started on my overhauling my fall and winter footwear.

I used to LOVE shoes, and I still really do. However, if you’ve been reading for a little while, you might know that I work on a college campus and walk a lot during the day, so I’m a flats girl these days. While a sporting a good pair of heels can be a real confidence booster, I love that flats are becoming trendier and the styles are less dowdy.

I purchased these a couple weeks ago when Sarah, our mom, and I ran into Stein Mart for a quick minute. I don’t normally shop there and can’t say I’ve found much in the past, but I found a really comfortable pair of leather chestnut pointy-toed loafers for under $50! They may not be the sexiest shoe on the block, but they looked great with both a classic shirt dress as well as dark jeans and a blazer at work this week.

During cooler months, I wear a pair of cheetah smoking slippers at least once a week. These look like a great updated version!

These puppies look like a great alternative to lace-up flats. They are dressy enough that I could see wearing them instead of heals, and they would look great with jeans too.

I rocked a similar, black version of this pair of loafers in the 90s. I love the braided strap and the neutral yet different colors for some flair.

What fall footwear are you coveting this season?
