Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends, and happy first week of December! It's been a few weeks since we've shared a Friday Favorites post, and this week we're starting a month of holiday themed favorites. First up... our favorite holiday activities! Sarah is heading to Lexington this afternoon, so we're hitting up the Wine + Market Holiday Open House and the Lexington Art League Black Friday Art Sale tonight.

Christmas Tea at Shaker Village: If you're in Central Kentucky, you should check this out. It is the perfect leisurely holiday afternoon activity to share with a group of girlfriends. You can read our recap from last year.

Christmas Lights Tours: While we love just taking a drive or stroll through the neighborhood, the Southern Lights Holiday Festival is a great activity for family night or even date night.

Christmas Candy Making: Making Christmas candy is a tradition passed down from both of our grandmothers and mom, and we happily make Christmas candy in our own homes now for friends and neighbors. It isn't Christmas until there's a platter of fudge and buckeyes.

Christmas Eve Church Service: Somehow the stars have aligned in both of our relationships, and we are always able to spend Christmas Eve in Bowling Green with our family and Christmas Day with our husbands' families. The 11:00 PM Christmas Eve service at our home church, Broadway United Methodist Church, is the best hour of the season.

The 2015 Kindly Kentucky Guide to Christmas in the Bluegrass still includes lots of our local favorites from the holiday season!
