Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! We hope you had a great week! This week has been a pretty good one for us. Laura and her husband bought a new house, and Sarah enjoyed a mid-week Coldplay concert. Sarah has her second bridal shower on Saturday, so we're looking forward to spending time with family and friends in Louisville this weekend.

Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, Michelle Obama's speech was amazing. It was by far the most inspirational 14 minutes of our week. If you haven't watched it, stop what your doing and watch it now!

That is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today, I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves — and I watch my daughters — two beautiful, intelligent, black young women — playing with their dogs on the White House lawn. And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters — and all our sons and daughters — now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States.
— Michelle Obama

Again, not to be political, but it was really moving to see this 102-year-old lady help report the delegate votes for Arizona. She lived through women gaining the right to vote, and now she is voting for the first female to lead a major national party. Amazing!

Love that coffee, Pop-Tarts, and Chinese takeout are still their diet staples!

The moment we've been waiting for since 2007! Gilmore Girls returns this November

If you haven't checked it out yet, we highly recommend The Luckiest Girl Alive for your next summer read. It's all of the twisted goodness you love from other books like Gone Girl and Girl On The Train, but mixed some real issues that are partially based on a true story. Plus, a friend told us our girl Reese will be producing the movie, so you know we've gotta love it.

Trying out skincare products is one of my guilty pleasures. There's nothing better than a quiet Friday night at home with a new face mask, and lately there's been a lot of buzz about how Korean products are leading the skin care industry. Check out Peach & Lily for some of the best! Their products are super affordable, and the website gives you descriptions of all the ingredients, how to use, what you need to know, and Peach & Lily's personal review.
